On December 28, 2009, Corporal Allen P Mowbray, a 24+ year veteran of the Florida Highway Patrol, was admitted to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida, complaining of pain in one of his legs and was diagnosed with a blood clot. Unfortunately, subsequent tests revealed Corporal Mowbray has a fast moving, very aggressive stage IV cancer and has been given a very dire prognosis with a short time to live. As many people are aware, stage IV means cancers have often metastasized, or spread to other organs or throughout the body.
Due to his current medical condition, as well as some other serious issues affecting the family at this time, Corporal Mowbray is in need of financial assistance. Any donation, no matter how small, will be appreciated.
If you can help in taking care of a trooper and his family, please send a check payable to "Allen P. Mowbray Trust". In the MEMO line at the bottom of your check, please notate "Allen Mowbray, suffix 16". Please mail your check to:
AAST Allen Mowbray Fund
1949 Raymond Diehl Road
Tallahassee, FL 32308
The American Association of State Troopers will mail all of the checks together and have them personally delivered to Corporal Mowbray's wife on your behalf.
Thank you in advance for helping support Corporal Mowbray and his family. If you have any questions, feel free to call Ken Howes, Executive Director, AAST, at 800-765-5456 #202, or email him at ken@statetroopers.org.
